I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork MOOD INDIGO. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. about this painting:

Music is a part of your life, even if you are not a music lover and do not have an Ipod or never play music while driving. It is in shops, movies, subway – everywhere you go. You cannot deny that if you do listen to music as a hobby, it certainly affects your mood and perspective on life. That is why many people avoid sad, yet beautiful music and listen to pop-song, that are maybe not that inspiring but at least does not ruin your day and provokes a sensation depression and melancholy in your soul.

Many great people thought that music can best express their feelings and thoughts. If an alien came to our planet wishing to learn more about humans, what they like and do not like, how they feel and what bothers them, probably, they would have better be addressed to songs than to an encyclopedia. Do you agree?

Leonid Afremov is a famous contemporary expressionist.

  • Afremov was born in Belarus in 1956. He is half Russian, half Israeli who had to change many places of residence before he finally moved to Mexico, where he now lives for more than 10 years.
  • He is one of the most famous and acknowledged contemporary artists. His painting have fans all over the world, thanks to his expressive technique, which consists in using oil and a palette knife and positive personality.

We never pay enough attention to the author’s personality, when we are talking about his or her creations, yet it is a very important component. When something is done with sincerity and affection, it can be seen and felt.

On this painting, you can see a musician playing his saxophone. The background is intentionally indistinguishable, because when in real life we are listening to someone who is performing, we do not pay attention to what surrounds him. If he is really good, he will be the only thing existing at that moment. Dark indigo color in the shades creates a sensation of mystery and magic on this oil canvas. Every musical performance is in fact an act of creation and self-expression, especially an improvisation on saxophone. The man on the painting does not notice anything around him, he is deeply concentrated on his instrument. Making music is not only fun and play, because it demands great discipline and concentration. Yet, the result is worth it.

I have three prints of Mr. Afremov, and I must say that they are the most beautiful works I have ever had the blessing of laying eyes on. I would love to someday be able to afford a print of the one featured today that is reminiscent of the colors of the Russian Autumn, as that is my favorite season. Thank you Mr. Afremov for sharing your gift with the world. If there is anyone reading this that has not yet had the pleasure of owning a painting or print thereof of this gentleman's works, I highly recommend you give one a try. His shipping is fast and items are impeccably wrapped. You will become a lifelong fan, I guarantee it!
