MOMENTS OF PLEASURE - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

MOMENTS OF PLEASURE — Moments of Pleasure presents a reclining figure suspended within a vibrant, abstract field. Intimate yet energetic, the composition transforms the human form into a sweeping passage of color, movement, and tactile mark-making.

The figure stretches almost the full width of the image, with an arm extending toward the left and bent legs reaching to the right. Coral, peach, and warm orange tones define the body, while deep blue, teal, green, yellow, ochre, cream, violet, burgundy, and black create a richly contrasted environment. Thick, expressive strokes suggest palette-knife texture, fragmenting contours and obscuring the head within darker passages. Dense vertical marks gather above and around the figure, while broader horizontal sweeps move beneath it, reinforcing the work’s flowing, directional energy.

This dramatic figurative composition can bring warmth and movement to a bedroom, private sitting area, creative studio, or contemporary gallery wall. Its layered color relationships reward close viewing, while the strong horizontal arrangement creates an immediate sense of visual balance. The combination of intimate subject matter and boldly abstract surroundings suits interiors seeking expressive color, emotional depth, and a confident modern presence.
