The secret of visual appeal

The art of Leonid Afremov is of a rarely intelligent sort. He doesn’t only paint the world as he sees it, he painstakingly selects every shade and carefully positions every element to reach the desired visual effect. After all, the way we perceive art is largely determined by optical laws. Due to its anatomic construction, the human eye tags different color combinations as appealing, dull or even inappropriate. 1.   Complementary colors.
