Between obscurity and recollection, Memory Trace Echo turns the act of remembering into a passage through uncertain light. Its luminous center does not resolve the surrounding darkness; instead, it suggests a thought returning in fragments, briefly clarified before slipping back into shadow. The work holds that tension without settling it, making memory feel less like a record than a changing field of attention.

Across the middle, horizontal bands interrupt the vertical movement, creating the impression of time crossing itself. What seems distant is brought forward, while what appears close remains indistinct. Muted greens, ochres, and cool grays gather beneath the brighter passage, lending the lower register the gravity of something retained but not fully recovered.

The surrounding charcoal tones give the central opening an inward quality, as though illumination belongs to recollection only in partial glimpses.
