LUSH PINNACLES OF FENGHUANG - FRAMED

Between untamed growth and open sky, Lush Pinnacles of Fenghuang turns the mountain range into a meditation on emergence, where each rise seems to gather force from the depths below. The central pinnacle gives this ascent a steady focus, yet the surrounding formations keep the scene from settling into a single, commanding presence. Its serenity is active rather than passive, shaped by the sense that the landscape is still unfolding beyond the visible horizon.

Mist resting in the valleys softens the distance without diminishing its drama. It creates intervals of uncertainty between the blue-green peaks, allowing the eye to move slowly through the scene and consider what remains concealed. The layered forms suggest a place governed by time rather than human scale, where solidity and transience meet in the same breath.

Closer slopes carry a darker, denser presence, grounding the airy expanse above them. Against that weight, the pale openings in the middle distance feel like moments of release - not an escape from the mountains, but a way of sensing their depth. The work holds these opposing sensations together: abundance and remoteness, shelter and exposure, stillness and an upward pull.
