LOW HELD depicts petals falling slowly through the air, gathering on the ground. Thick palette knife strokes give the surface a physical, sculpted presence.

Suspended between release and arrival, Low Held turns falling petals into a study of motion without destination. Their scattered passage across the cool field suggests a moment when something beautiful is leaving its source yet has not settled into memory. The work holds that interval open, allowing energy and tenderness to coexist.
The drifting forms gather gradually toward the lower edge, where their accumulation becomes less like an ending than a change in state. Against the blue-gray expanse, vivid fragments retain a sense of lift, as though gravity has been slowed enough for each petal to register its own direction. The image feels animated, but never hurried.
What begins as dispersion gathers emotional weight through its quiet pattern of return. The lower band offers a fragile threshold between what remains airborne and what has already arrived, while the surrounding space keeps the scene from becoming fully resolved. In that tension, the work evokes renewal without insisting on a single meaning - a fleeting passage made vivid by its refusal to disappear all at once.
