about this painting:

Lonely Bicycle

Autumn ride

Do you like cycling? If so, this painting will help you remember your emotions during your last bike ride. If not, then maybe it will inspire you to buy a bicycle and to start leading a healthy lifestyle. Just think about how it may be wonderful to give up a car and replace it with a bicycle. Instead of spending much time dying of boredom in an endless traffic jam, you can ride on your iron friend and enjoy the fresh air. In addition, in many cases it will be much faster than on the car.

In his Lonely Bicycle, a wonderful fall painting referring to the most famous Leonid Afremov’s art works  the master depicted a lonely standing bicycle leaned against a lantern. By landscape this place resembles a park; behind a concrete fence we see an autumn forest which turns yellow. The yellow branches of the trees preparing for winter bent over the bicycle.

As for the bike itself, this is a simple two-wheeled friend, such bicycles are very wide spread in Europe; so most likely the painting depicts a park in some European country. The owner of the iron stallion is probably resting somewhere nearby. Nothing prevents him to enjoy the autumn nature and breathe the fresh autumn air. The evening has already fallen and the lanterns flood the evening park with gentle light. Softly illuminating the colorful leaves, they make them particularly beautiful.

We really hope that having read this description you will definitely be tempted to make a bicycle ride and maybe even to buy the painting!

Cycling around the city

The bicycle is a comfortable, eco-friendly and healthy transport. People in many countries understood this: in Denmark, Japan, the US and other countries, cyclists “breathe freely” and are respected on the road.

We will tell you about the 3 most cycling cities in the world:

  1. In Copenhagen, about 35% of those moving on the roads are cyclists. Almost every local resident has his own bicycle, and about 2,000 bike rental centers are available to tourists and locals.
  2. Tokyo - a huge metropolis with a developed transport network, including bicycle one. Bicycle is much faster and more useful - the Japanese try to keep themselves healthy. Do not be surprised if you see a clerk in an expensive suit with a briefcase on the bicycle.
  3. Bicycle traffic originated in Barcelona in 2007 is gradually gaining momentum. To date, more than 30,000 Barcelonians are bicyclists. There are about 100 rental stations in the city: any resident or tourist can take a bike leaving a deposit, and then return it to the same or another parking lot.

Leonid, I have been admiring your art since high school. I recently purchased one of your paintings for my newlywed sister because I couldn't think of a more special gift for her. The painting is more gorgeous and stunning than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much brightening the world with your wonderful artistry.
