At the center of this work, Linked Closeness turns nearness into a form of shared momentum. The gathered winged bodies do not read as separate emblems so much as a living knot, held together by contact, balance, and the instinct to remain within reach. Their warm banding gives the encounter an alert, sunlit energy, while the pale ground leaves the relationship unusually exposed.
The smallest figure above the cluster complicates the intimacy below it. It may suggest a third presence entering an already established rhythm, or simply reveal how connection expands beyond a single pair. The overlapping wings create a sense of movement without breaking the group apart, as though each gesture finds its direction through the others.
What remains most affecting is the tension between delicacy and insistence. Fine legs and antennae extend outward, yet the center stays remarkably close, making vulnerability feel less like isolation than a condition met together. The work holds that closeness as something active - not a fixed embrace, but a continuous adjustment of distance, attention, and trust.
