Between uncertain horizons and borrowed light, Light Scene considers the coast as a place where direction becomes feeling. The small boat rests near the middle distance, neither arriving nor departing, while the bright central disc lends the sky an almost ceremonial gravity. What emerges is not a literal journey but a suspended moment in which the known world seems briefly governed by stranger signs.
The work’s tension gathers between the cool expanse of water and the fire held along the right shore. Beside it, the solitary chair suggests a pause without assigning a person to it - an invitation, perhaps, to regard solitude as attentive rather than empty. The cliff and its dark trees provide a firm counterweight to this open-ended radiance, giving the scene a sense of shelter without dispelling its mystery.
As the circular forms recede through the sky, they feel less like fixed symbols than recurring thoughts, returning in altered shapes. The distant boat, shoreline fire, and open water hold separate kinds of silence: departure, waiting, and reflection. Together they create a dreamlike coastal realm where tranquility is never entirely free from drama, and where illumination seems to arrive from within the scene’s uncertainty.
