LAYERED SCRIPT - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Across its dense field of intersecting forms, Layered Script turns abstraction into a meditation on what remains legible beneath accumulation. Its overlapping blocks suggest fragments of a language assembled through memory rather than grammar, where meaning gathers through proximity, interruption, and return. The composition feels less like a message to be deciphered than a record of attention continually finding new points of entry.

At the center, pale gold and amber shapes create a moment of emergence within the surrounding density. They do not resolve the composition so much as draw its tensions inward, allowing warmth to feel provisional - a clearing that is immediately complicated by the darker forms pressing around it. The work holds energy in suspension, poised between order and overflow.

The burgundy and brown masses give the arrangement a grounded gravity, while the blue-green accents along the lower edge and right side introduce a cooler register. This movement between earthbound weight and shifting color keeps the forms from settling into a fixed code. Each block seems to carry a partial thought, altered by the neighboring shapes that contain and disrupt it.

Layered Script ultimately invites a slower kind of reading, one attentive to intervals, overlaps, and the spaces where certainty breaks down. Its visual language remains deliberately incomplete, yet it is not silent; it speaks through rhythm, density, and the persistent sense that significance can be built from fragments without ever becoming final.
