KISS - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

KISS — A vivid portrayal of intimacy and movement, KISS brings two figures together at the emotional center of a richly expressive composition. Their close embrace unfolds against a vibrant field of heated color, creating an immediate sense of romance, energy, and dramatic connection.

The vertical scene is dominated by a couple whose faces draw close in an affectionate gesture. One figure wears a pale, flowing garment marked by elongated folds, while the other appears in a dark coat, light shirt, and brimmed hat. Thick directional brushstrokes sweep through scarlet, crimson, orange, golden yellow, cream, pink, purple, black, and blue-green. A luminous yellow-white passage glows behind the pair, intensifying the contrast with the darker edges and lower area. Overlapping arms and torsos reinforce the closeness of the pose, while a pale ribbon-like form crosses diagonally through the middle, adding visual motion.

With its saturated palette and strongly defined central figures, this work commands attention in romantic interiors, expressive living spaces, bedrooms, or creative studios. The warm reds and oranges bring vitality, while the intimate subject adds emotional depth. Its painterly surface and energetic contrasts invite both an immediate visual response and closer appreciation of the gestures, folds, and layered color surrounding the embrace.
