HOLLOW STAR - FRAMED

At the heart of its outward surge, Hollow Star holds a tension between rupture and revelation. A dark, irregular presence gathers the surrounding movement, yet a sharp opening of pale light interrupts its gravity. The work feels less like a depiction of distant space than an inward event - a moment when obscurity gives way without fully disappearing.

That central brightness does not resolve the surrounding darkness; it makes its pressure more apparent. Deep blues, teal, violet, and maroon draw the eye toward the uneven ring of light, while the radiating movement suggests energy escaping from a place that remains unknowable. The effect is dramatic, but not triumphant. Illumination arrives as a charged interruption, carrying both promise and uncertainty.

The painting’s force lies in this unstable balance. The star-like opening can be read as emergence, fracture, or a fleeting recognition that has not yet become an answer. Around it, the sweeping bands seem to resist stillness, keeping the center alive with possibility. What remains is an image of inner change held at its most vivid threshold - luminous, unsettled, and deliberately unfinished.
