This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures
HOLLOW RITUAL explores a rustic pattern echoing traditional folk motifs, cut by thin bright streaks, shaped by scraped textures through layered palette knife textures and sculptural strokes.
Bold impasto ridges catch shifting light, while scraped passages reveal underlying hues and tonal variation.
The composition invites close viewing, highlighting movement, contrast, and expressive material presence.

Across its severe field of repeated signs, Hollow Ritual 2 proposes an order that feels inherited yet unsettled. The central red diamond holds the composition like a guarded emblem, while the surrounding crosses and bars suggest a language whose rules are only partly recoverable. Its symmetry does not reassure; instead, it creates the tension of a ceremony observed after its meaning has begun to fade. A narrow band of red circles passes through the middle, giving the arrangement a measured pulse.
The work’s darkness makes each interruption feel deliberate, especially where fractured pale forms break the surrounding sequence. What emerges is less a fixed symbol system than a confrontation between structure and erosion - an insistence on pattern shadowed by doubt. The recurring marks seem to belong together, yet their stark spacing leaves room for silence, resistance, and private interpretation.
