HOLLOW RITUAL explores a rustic pattern echoing traditional folk motifs, pressed into stark contrast, cast in rugged knife impressions through layered palette knife textures and sculptural strokes.

Across its disciplined bands, Hollow Ritual 1 turns repetition into a source of tension and contemplation. The work seems to hover between order and rupture, as if a familiar pattern has been recalled without being fully restored. Its stark divisions give the composition an almost ceremonial gravity, while the shifts within that structure keep it unsettled and alive.
The dark intervals and broken white passages establish a measured pulse, interrupted by warmth that gathers and recedes rather than resolving into a single image. Rust, ochre, orange, and turquoise emerge as concentrated changes in atmosphere. They suggest traces of something remembered - not a specific scene, but the persistence of feeling after its original setting has disappeared.
What makes the work compelling is the friction between its horizontal insistence and its irregular edges. Each passage appears to belong to a larger order, yet none settles completely into uniformity. The result carries the intensity of a private observance: repeated, searching, and open to alteration each time it is encountered.
