Between order and interruption, Hidden Edge turns the meeting of distinct forms into a meditation on boundaries that never remain entirely secure. Interlocking blocks press against one another with the insistence of a constructed system, yet their irregular shifts keep the arrangement alert and unsettled. The work feels less like a fixed map than a field of decisions, where separation and connection are continually renegotiated.

Its intensity comes from the way deep red, teal, orange, blue, and pale passages refuse to settle into a single emotional register. Brightness can feel declarative, while darker intervals introduce hesitation and depth. The lower bands bring a subtle change in rhythm, suggesting not a conclusion but a threshold - the point at which a tightly ordered language begins to open outward.

A small white mark near the lower right quietly complicates the composition's impersonal geometry. It reads as a trace of presence within a world otherwise governed by divisions, giving the work a human scale without resolving its ambiguity. What remains is an energetic balance between structure and drift, clarity and the impulse to cross its edges.
