about this painting:

Park with gazebo and pond

The painting Gazebo, created by Leonid Afremov, presents a beautiful landscape with gazebo taking a central position on it. It takes the central position in the park either, therefore the painting is called after this architectural element. Gazebo by the water looks very romantic, so everybody would be glad to have such park in the vicinity or, at least, such artwork on the wall of the room.

The place is spectacular and peaceful – perfect conditions for reflections. For some reason, people prefer to think about the most cherished things near the lake or river. The view of the water makes their thoughts deeper, and the view of gazebo will contribute to it. The gazebo in classical style is a special luxury. It adds a solemn, ceremonial look to this park. It would be perfect for celebration of weddings or some formal festive occasions. But now we use it as a part of architectural composition that creates wonderful atmosphere in the park and we love to be here.

Direction of strokes make the composition interesting

Afremov uses interesting technique to show the park to us. The canvas is created in Impressionistic style. The edges of different objects are not even. We can see the direction of strokes in different parts of the painting. At the bottom, the strokes are horizontal and this is clearly noticed. The bank of the lake becomes the dividing line between the areas with different directions of strokes. The green area is portrayed with use of long vertical strokes that helped to emphasize long trunks of the trees. But when the foliage begins, the manner of the painting changes. It becomes playful and chaotic. This is how Afremov shows the trees waving in the wind.   Blue sky is always painted in curly way. This method of depiction added some volume to it. Interior decorative art is really amazing now. Using simple techniques, we can get extraordinary result.

Light on the painting will light up your room

Well-lit areas on the painting works for this composition well. They refresh the painting and create small islands, which look nice from the side. You can place such artwork in bathroom or living room and it will throw light even upon your interior. For some reason, even light created by the artist can cast light in a real room.

In this way, the artist can:

·                    Make you think about certain things;

·                    Motivate and inspire you;

·                    Improve your mood;

·                    Develop the person aesthetically and etc.
