Against a field of shadowed stone, Flowing Gesture considers how scattered fragments can gather into a shared rhythm without losing their individual presence. The close arrangement feels less like a fixed collection than a moment of visual convergence, where brightness emerges from pressure, proximity, and contrast. Its energy is concentrated rather than expansive, drawing attention toward the charged center.
The luminous yellow-orange form becomes a point of release among the surrounding darker shapes, while turquoise, pale blue, and green notes extend that brightness in quieter pulses. These accents do not settle into a simple hierarchy; they seem to pass attention from one form to the next, creating movement within the confined field.
The overlapping pieces suggest a kind of accumulated time, as though each has been altered by passage, weather, and contact before arriving here. Yet the arrangement remains deliberately balanced. Dark gaps preserve separation, allowing the brighter forms to feel discovered rather than announced, and giving the composition its earthy gravity.
What stays with the viewer is the tension between weight and radiance. The stones appear grounded, but the concentrated color keeps the grouping from becoming still, turning it toward a more open reading of connection and change. In that suspended exchange, the work finds its expressive force.
