FLOATING RHYTHM

A restless sense of ceremony gathers around the bird, and Floating Rhythm gives that presence a vivid, almost musical authority. The turkey is not treated as a quiet emblem of nature, but as a figure caught between display and self-possession. Its enlarged form carries a playful grandeur, suggesting a moment when ordinary behavior becomes strangely theatrical.

The raised head, alive with blue, red, and magenta, lends the bird an alertness that feels both curious and composed. It seems to listen to the surrounding world without yielding to it. This tension keeps the work from becoming merely festive; beneath its exuberance is a watchful intelligence, a sense of presence that remains difficult to overlook.

The folded wing gathers the body into a dense, self-contained rhythm, while the patterned tail extends outward like a measured flourish. That reach gives the figure a wider emotional register. Pride, absurdity, and beauty coexist here without resolving into a single message, allowing the turkey to appear at once familiar and ceremonially strange.

Against the lively field behind it, the narrow ground beneath the bird feels less like a fixed setting than a brief stage. The figure seems to hold its position through sheer composure, balancing boldness with restraint. What remains is an image of instinct elevated into performance, where color and posture turn a simple creature into a memorable presence.
