FLOATING CLOCK STREET - FRAMED

Above a darkened waterfront, Floating Clock Street turns time into a suspended passage rather than a fixed measure. The clocks gather over the shoreline as if the evening has paused between departure and return, while their reflected faces loosen that certainty in the water below. Their presence feels less like an announcement than an atmosphere - a reminder that every horizon carries several possible hours at once.

The largest clock at the upper left gives the scene a searching gravity, while smaller faces lead the eye toward the warm opening at the distance. Roman numerals and visible hands preserve the language of order, yet the setting makes that order dreamlike. The promenade, poles, and wires suggest an ordinary public world, but here they become witnesses to a moment that cannot quite belong to a calendar.

In the water, the clocks are altered into wavering vertical echoes, joined by the fading light of the sky. This doubling makes the scene feel inward as well as expansive: time exists above the waterfront as an object, then below it as memory or expectation. The distant boats and low shore remain deliberately remote, leaving the suspended hours to hold the work’s contemplative tension.
