FLAT PATTERN - FRAMED

Across its shifting blocks of color, Flat Pattern sets order against interruption, making the eye move between measured divisions and forms that refuse to stay entirely contained. Pale blue, rose, cream, red, and green fields meet like fragments of a visual language whose grammar is clear but never complete. The composition feels less like a fixed arrangement than an ongoing negotiation between structure and release.

Dark green, leaf-like shapes cross several of the rectangular boundaries, introducing a suggestion of growth into an otherwise deliberate geometry. They do not resolve the picture into a scene; instead, they lend the work a living pulse, as though organic thought were appearing inside a system built for certainty. Their recurrence gives the composition a subtle rhythm without making it predictable.

The balance of bright and subdued passages keeps the work open to shifting moods. A small handwritten-style mark in the lower right adds a human trace, almost like a private annotation left within the larger exchange of color and form. What remains compelling is the tension between public order and personal interruption - a world carefully divided, yet continually altered by what passes through it.
