This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures
FADING BRIGHT depicts a softly lit room washed in pale pastel tones, gentle color transitions melting into one another. Thick palette knife strokes give the surface a physical, sculpted presence.
Paint is layered and partially scraped back, allowing underlying tones to emerge and interact with light.
The scene feels intimate and tactile, encouraging slow, reflective viewing.

In this suspended interior, Fading Bright turns domestic stillness into a meditation on what remains as illumination recedes. The room feels less inhabited than remembered, held between welcome and departure. Pale tonal shifts keep its atmosphere open and uncertain, as though the moment has not yet decided whether it belongs to morning, evening, or memory.
Light gathers around the tall opening at the right, drawing the room toward a world beyond its calm enclosure. Rather than offering a clear destination, it creates a gentle tension between inwardness and release. The mirror on the opposite wall deepens that uncertainty, suggesting not another room so much as the possibility of a second, quieter version of this one.
The sofa gives the scene its human scale, yet its waiting form carries no fixed narrative. It may recall the pause after conversation, or the interval before someone returns, while the muted cushion introduces a note of warmth into the room’s fading air. Broad reflections beneath it allow the brightness to linger after the objects themselves seem to withdraw, leaving the work suspended in a tender state of disappearance.
