This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures
EXTENDED MASS presents expanded abstract shapes floating in a shallow space, their scale exaggerated to overwhelm the viewer, rendered at an exaggerated scale that fills the canvas.
Thick palette knife strokes build ridges, edges, and layered surfaces that give the paint a sculptural quality.
The composition balances raw energy with controlled structure.

The work’s crowded color and exaggerated scale make Extended Mass feel less like an image than an encounter with pressure, expansion, and competing forces. Forms seem to gather without settling into a single order, allowing each encounter between light and dark, warmth and coolness, to alter the balance. Its abstraction resists a fixed subject while maintaining an unmistakable sense of momentum.
Across the composition, broad pale passages are interrupted by sudden orange, teal, and burgundy accents, like flashes within a system still finding its shape. The overlapping forms suggest growth without promising resolution - a world where structure is present, but never fully secure. What holds attention is this tension between abundance and control, where intensity becomes a way of thinking rather than merely a visual effect.
