EXPANDED RHYTHM - FRAMED

Its diagonal surge makes Expanded Rhythm feel less like a fixed image than a force passing through thought, gathering intensity as it moves. The composition holds a tension between release and resistance, as though a single impulse has entered a field of competing pressures and found its own direction. What emerges is not a scene but an experience of momentum - immediate, charged, and open to interpretation.

A luminous yellow-white path cuts through the surrounding depths, giving the work a sense of inner passage rather than simple contrast. Around it, reds, violets, oranges, and blue-greens seem to converge and recede, creating the feeling of energy changing register without settling into a final state. The brightness suggests arrival, though the surrounding darkness keeps that arrival provisional.

The work’s intensity does not depend on resolution. Its movement remains suspended between expansion and containment, inviting attention to return to the central sweep and notice how differently it can be felt from one moment to the next. There is exhilaration here, but also a hint of pressure - the sense that rhythm can carry both freedom and constraint within the same unfolding gesture.
