ETHIOPIAN BLUE HORIZON - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Across receding ridges and gathering light, Ethiopian Blue Horizon considers distance as a form of emotional space - vast enough to loosen the hold of the immediate, yet shaped by the difficult passage through shadowed valleys. The mountain ranges do not settle into a single destination; they draw the eye inward, where cool blues meet a narrow warmth at the horizon and the landscape seems to hover between endurance and release.

The tall peaks on either side give the view a solemn structure, but the central valley prevents it from becoming closed or forbidding. Its opening suggests movement without promising arrival. Farther ridges fade into softer tones, creating a sense of time extending beyond the visible scene, while the darker foreground retains the weight of what has already been crossed.

A peach and rose interval beneath the open sky brings a human measure to the immensity, not by diminishing it but by making its silence newly attentive. In that brief warmth, the mountain world feels less like a fixed wilderness than a threshold - a place where solitude can become clarity, and where the horizon remains present without needing to be reached.
