ELECTRIC PULSE - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Across a charged field of color, Electric Pulse turns movement into a form of attention, as though energy were gathering, breaking, and gathering again. The central white arc gives that motion a temporary shape, while the surrounding reds, violets, and deep blues keep it from settling into a single reading. Its force feels immediate, but not chaotic; each sweeping curve seems to carry the memory of a previous turn.

The composition’s brightness is concentrated in the meeting of white and gold, where the forms appear to cross without quite touching. This creates a sense of momentum held at the edge of transformation. The eye follows the looping passage across the work, then pauses where it opens into darker color, finding uncertainty within its exuberance.

Below the dark horizontal divide, the same visual energy returns in broken reflection. Rather than offering a stable mirror, this lower register fragments the upper movement into horizontal echoes, suggesting that intensity is never preserved unchanged. What rises with clarity above becomes more elusive below, as if experience were being recalled through motion rather than language.

Electric Pulse remains open between celebration and disturbance. Its vivid contrasts can feel like a surge of inner weather, yet the repeated curves impose a rhythm that is almost meditative. The work holds these impulses together without resolving them, leaving its sense of brightness inseparable from the darker field that gives it depth.
