ECHO STREET PATTERN - FRAMED

Across a field of restless circles, Echo Street Pattern turns repetition into a kind of visual pulse. The forms press against one another without settling into a fixed order, suggesting a city sensed through movement rather than mapped by streets. Turquoise, orange, magenta, and yellow arrive with the force of passing signals, while the deep teal surrounding them gives the composition its nocturnal intensity.

The overlapping rings create moments of encounter and interruption. Some appear complete, others slip beyond the edges, as though the pattern continues outside the work’s boundaries. Their varied scale keeps the eye in motion, moving from broad, emphatic arcs to smaller contained rhythms. The result feels communal but not orderly - a lively system whose energy depends on difference.

At the center of this visual language is a tension between structure and improvisation. Circular repetition promises coherence, yet contrasting inner fields prevent any single reading from becoming final. The composition can feel celebratory, but its darker intervals lend that brightness a reflective undertone, like memory returning in fragments through a crowded evening.
