DUPLICATED HORIZON SPLIT - FRAMED

Across its divided bands, Duplicated Horizon Split turns the idea of a horizon into a passage rather than a boundary. The title suggests a world seen twice, or a line that keeps returning in altered form, and the composition sustains that uncertainty. Its horizontal structure feels less like a settled landscape than a sequence of thresholds, where dark and luminous intervals interrupt one another without resolving into a single view.

A pale, glowing passage near the center holds the work in suspension. It may read as an opening, a distant weather front, or a brief clearing between denser states of mind, while the surrounding mauve, blue, burgundy, and earthbound tones resist any simple sense of release. The uneven bands carry the rhythm of something remembered imperfectly - recurring, divided, and never quite identical.

Below that central brightness, the deeper blues and blacks introduce gravity without closing the composition. The eye is drawn across the width, following breaks and returns rather than arriving at a fixed destination. What remains is a charged middle ground between landscape and abstraction, where repetition becomes a form of searching and the horizon keeps changing its terms.
