Order and unrest meet within Drifting Contour, where geometric forms suggest a structure that is continually being revised. The dense arrangement refuses a single point of entry, drawing attention instead to the tension between measured boundaries and irregular contours. Its energy feels less like movement through space than an active state of mind - alert, divided, and searching for balance.
A luminous vertical passage at the center interrupts the darker weight gathered around it, giving the composition a fleeting sense of orientation. Yet the surrounding blocks press inward rather than settling into a stable hierarchy. The work can be read as an encounter between clarity and complication, where brightness offers recognition without resolving what remains unsettled.
Small ochre and orange accents punctuate the larger fields like brief decisions within a more turbulent argument. They keep the composition from becoming purely monumental, returning it to a rhythm of hesitation, emphasis, and renewal. What emerges is not a fixed system but a charged field in which order remains possible precisely because it is never final.
