DRIFT WAVE SLOW - FRAMED

Caught at the moment of its own turning, Drift Wave Slow gives the sea an inward rhythm rather than a distant horizon. The wave gathers itself into a rounded surge, drawing attention toward the hollow at its center, where motion feels briefly suspended before breaking outward again. Its energy is immediate, but not simple: the curl suggests both force and restraint, as though the water is holding a thought just before release.

The central foam becomes a threshold between these impulses. White gathers along the break, while finer traces of spray move toward the right, extending the wave beyond its main arc. This outward movement keeps the image open, yet the darker water below draws the eye back into its depth, creating a cycle of advance and return.

Without a shoreline or sky to measure it against, the wave resists becoming a scene from a particular coast. It is closer to an encounter with water in motion - elemental, concentrated, and briefly self-contained.
