DREAMING PRISM - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Between shadowed trunks and receding light, Dreaming Prism opens a passage where certainty gives way to atmosphere. The avenue feels less like a route toward a destination than a threshold held briefly between arrival and departure. Its luminous points offer direction, yet the surrounding darkness keeps that promise unresolved, allowing the scene to remain suspended in a state of expectancy.

The reflected lights below do not simply repeat what hangs above them. Broken into elongated color, they suggest memory altered by movement - recognizable in outline, but no longer fixed in meaning. This divided correspondence gives the foreground an inward pull, as though the path continues beneath the visible one and asks the viewer to trust impressions that cannot be fully gathered.

At the distant center, the avenue narrows into a glowing haze rather than a clearly defined end. Cool shadows and sudden warmth meet there without settling into harmony, preserving the painting's sense of passage as something felt before it is understood. The scene holds its mystery not through concealment, but through the promise that looking longer may reveal a different direction.
