DREAM IN BLUE - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Between deep evening blues and a distant, concentrated glow, Dream in Blue holds the feeling of a thought suspended just before it becomes a memory. The central light does not resolve the surrounding darkness; instead, it gives the silence a direction, drawing the eye toward a place that seems near enough to reach yet remains inward and elusive. The work invites contemplation without asking the scene to become a literal story.

Across the horizon, the warm illumination gathers among cool violet and blue expanses, suggesting a fleeting human presence without defining who or what has made it. Its reflection descends into the water in broken brightness, less a path than a fragile continuity between distance and feeling. This tension gives the calm an undertow, as though stillness were carrying something quietly away.

The scattered dark forms interrupt the reflective field with just enough resistance to keep the image from becoming weightless. They may read as distant craft, shoreline traces, or simply marks of the world persisting beyond the dream. Around them, turquoise, lavender, and subdued pink deepen the atmosphere, allowing serenity and uncertainty to occupy the same moment.
