DOODLE DREAM CATCHER - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Suspended between adornment and protection, Doodle Dream Catcher turns a familiar circular form into a private meditation on what is allowed to pass through. Its pale ring gathers a dense web at the center, where radiating lines and small points create a sense of order without closing off mystery. The surrounding feathers give the design a gentle outward movement, as though the image were listening beyond its own boundaries.

The central web suggests a filtering of experience rather than a promise of escape. Petal-like loops and bead-like accents interrupt its geometry with signs of tenderness, making the symmetry feel considered but not severe. Against the deep teal field, the pale and vivid details seem to hold separate moods in balance - alertness, softness, remembrance, and release.

What lingers is the tension between the ring's enclosure and the strands that extend beyond it. The hanging feathers do not resolve that tension; they make it visible, carrying the idea of protection into something more open and changeable. The work invites a slow, personal association with the thoughts we keep close, the impressions we let go, and the fragile patterns we use to give both a shape.
