CURRENT MOON reflects a scene inspired by mermaid aesthetics, expressed through confident palette knife strokes and layered pigment.

Beneath a sky held in suspension, Current Moon turns the crescent into a point of inward attention, where warmth appears without breaking the surrounding stillness. Its position above the dark horizontal bands gives the scene a sense of distance, as though the water were carrying thought away from the visible world. The image remains open and unhurried, inviting feeling to gather rather than arrive all at once.
The moon’s muted gold does not simply illuminate the blue-green atmosphere; it creates a tender tension between nearness and remoteness. Around it, pale passages soften the boundary between sky and reflection, making the horizon feel less like a division than a threshold. The scene suggests a moment suspended between waking and dream, when familiar forms begin to carry private meanings.
Below, the darker bands return the gaze to a more elemental rhythm. Their irregular movement keeps the image from becoming purely serene, allowing contemplation to retain a trace of uncertainty. What lingers is not a fixed symbol but a delicate exchange between the distant crescent and the shifting darkness beneath it - a meeting of calm, longing, and quiet release.
