COPPER CLOCK reflects a scene inspired by steampunk aesthetics, expressed through confident palette knife strokes and layered pigment.

Around the measured stillness of a suspended moment, Copper Clock turns time into a realm of memory, pressure, and inward attention. Its Roman numerals establish an old order, yet the clustered forms within the dial suggest that time is never as orderly as its divisions imply. The work holds a tension between precision and uncertainty, inviting contemplation of what remains when the present feels briefly held in place.
The hands meet near the center without offering a clear resolution. Rather than directing the eye toward a particular hour, they create a pause - a threshold between what has passed and what has not yet arrived. Dark recesses around the circular face deepen this sense of withheld knowledge, while the copper and bronze register as traces of endurance rather than simple ornament.
The clock's mechanical presence carries an antique, industrial gravity, but its meaning remains open. It may evoke the impulse to measure experience, preserve it, or resist its passing, even as the surrounding forms suggest forces that cannot be fully controlled. What emerges is less a portrait of time than an encounter with its weight and persistence.
