CLOCKTOWER HEX MIDNIGHT - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

Rising through the charged stillness of night, Clocktower Hex Midnight turns a familiar civic marker into a vision of time made urgent and almost luminous. The tower’s steep ascent draws the eye upward, while its illuminated faces seem to hold the surrounding city in suspension. Rather than offering a single moment, the work suggests a place where different hours meet - public, watchful, and difficult to leave behind.

The warmth gathered in the clock faces and narrow windows gives the architecture a human pulse without reducing it to a story. Against the deep blue atmosphere, those lights feel less like decoration than signals passing through darkness, announcing presence across an unseen distance. The angled structure carries both confidence and instability, as though time itself were leaning into the night.

At the lower edge, shadowed forms gather beneath the tower, anchoring its upward movement in a denser world. This tension between grounded streets and an almost ascending landmark lends the scene its energy: the city appears awake, but not fully explained. What remains is an impression of vigilance and passage, with the clocks measuring more than hours - perhaps the fragile interval between departure and return.
