The surrounding darkness does not simply conceal; it concentrates the eye on the central flare, where turquoise, orange, and red lights gather with the urgency of a signal. The tall shadowed forms at either side create a narrow visual threshold, making the illuminated distance seem both inviting and difficult to reach.
