about this painting:

Bull Fight

In the center of rage

Before us is a truly Spanish canvas. It depicts an authentic Spanish scene – the battle with the bull – in the painting we see all the attributes of this fight – a red rag, a real bullfighter's suit, and even a banderileros – special sticks that are tied to the back of a bull – all these things we find on canvas.

As always, the artist chose the most vivid colors for his paintings, they are present primarily in the background of the canvas, which consists of multi-colored brush strokes; here we find such colors as violet, orange, yellow, turquoise blue and many others. In the image of the bull and the bullfighter we also find many bright colors – this is a bright red rag, with which the bullfighter teases the bull, his yellow coat and multi-colored banderileros. The artist has depicted the scene so that we feel the whole passion of the battle and are even a little afraid for the bullfighter. His very posture is very risky –his left hand he pulled back while he holds a red rag with his right hand, his head tilted forward almost touching the bull’s back, it seems that should he tilt his head a few more centimeters lower and the bull will pick him up on his horns and carry him away. But let's hope that he is a real professional and knows what he is doing.

Taming the bull

We once told you some interesting facts about the bullfight. Let's see how this art developed further. Yes, it is namely art, although many considered it a struggle. Well there will be no consensus!

  1. The detailed statistics of accidents in the arena has been kept since the middle of 18th century only.
  2. Over the years, about 700 bullfighters have been killed.
  3. The future bullfighters begin to learn the basics at the age of 10. But the bullfighter can enter the arena when they arrive at majority only. But, there were, of course, exceptions – Jairo Miguel, for example, killed the first bull at the age of eight.

Feel the rage and passion of bullfighting through the canvas.
