BROKEN OBELISK - FRAMED

At the heart of a charged ascent, Broken Obelisk turns fracture into a force that still carries forward. Its diagonal presence seems less like a monument fallen than a passage interrupted, suspended between collapse and continuation. The broken interval gives the surrounding radiance a sense of consequence, as though something enduring has been tested without being entirely overcome.

A concentrated glow gathers beneath the central divide, setting the dark blues and violets into a tense, atmospheric counterpoint. The smaller fragments do not simply scatter; they suggest the aftereffects of a rupture still unfolding, each piece held in a moment before settling into a final order. The scene feels otherworldly without becoming remote, inviting the eye toward a space where disruption and renewal occupy the same field.

The work’s upward movement resists the weight implied by its stone-like form. Gold and orange flare through the lower darkness, lending the composition a difficult kind of hope - not reassurance, but the possibility that broken structures can reveal another direction. What remains unresolved is precisely what gives the image its momentum.
