Across its compressed field of divided forms, Broken Edge turns interruption into a source of momentum rather than disorder. Rectangular color areas press against one another with an almost architectural insistence, yet their uneven boundaries keep the arrangement from settling into a fixed system. The composition feels governed by competing impulses: structure gathers strength from repetition, while each disruption opens a new direction.
The dominant turquoise block in the upper right introduces a cooler interval within the more urgent movement of orange, red, and yellow. It does not quiet the work so much as shift its terms, creating a pause that makes the surrounding divisions feel more charged. Darker passages below carry the composition toward weight and depth, suggesting that balance here is temporary and continuously renegotiated.
What emerges is an abstract language of pressure, separation, and return. The small white mark near the lower edge has the character of a private interruption, a modest human trace within a field that otherwise feels impersonal and forceful. Broken boundaries become less like damage than evidence of change - the visible record of forms refusing to remain sealed from one another.
