about this painting:

The journey begins

If you ever happened to be at the port, you probably still remember it as if it was just yesterday. Bright shiny vessels sailing within the reach of your hand, the hustle and bustle of passengers and port workers, salty splashes covering you from head to toe as you step too close to the pier – and that amazing, exciting, overwhelming feeling that your adventure has just started… If you have a memory of that sort in your private collection, this panoramic wall canvas by Leonid Afremov will once again take you to the squeaky pier steps touched by the first beams of the rising sun.

A lonely drifter

It’s a lovely quiet morning. The sun has just shown over the horizon painting the sky gentle blue and pink. Still seeing its last dreams in the tender embraces of the summer night, the city at the seaside is dark and motionless, with only a few lit windows and a couple of lanterns at the pier indicating that it will soon spring back to life. A fresh breeze sweeps along the line of napping boats swaying them lightly in their nests and rippling their reflections in the crystal clear water surface. One of the boats has already set off on its morning trip leaving the silent harbor far behind. Barely visible in the twilight, it drifts further and further into the sea to witness the birth of the sun in the open sky.

The sea on your wall

If you are in love with the sea and modern art, this painting will make a great addition to your home décor. Note the techniques and solutions used by the artist:

·         The blue, violet and pink shades of the dawn create a gentle and dreamy impression.

·         The yellow and orange lights of the city reflected in the still water contrast the drowsiness of the scenery and add a feeling of warmth to the picture.

·         The white tower of the central building rising into the sun-touched sky symbolizes the purity of the morning and the idyll of sea life.

This exquisite sample of large canvas art will create a cozy, relaxed and romantic atmosphere in your room giving you a charge of positive emotions each time you’ll look at it! Bring the salty breath of the sea to your apartment and sail into the sunrise together with that lonely boat swaying at the very edge of the canvas ready to pick you up!

I've been struggling to find a piece of art I love for my living room wall for 1.5 years. I stumbled upon Mr Afremov's work by happenstance and fell in love. It is often difficult for artists to have a painting filled with color that is not overbearing with those bursts of vibrance. Mr. Afremov walks that line expertly; he perfectly balances color and meaning. The paintings arrived today and they are nothing short of stunning! Will be recommending to everyone I meet!

I ordered "The Aura of Autumn" in December 2015. All three beautiful paintings arrived very promptly and very well packed. What you see on the web site is just a tiny piece of the beauty of Mr Afremov's art. Seeing the actual paintings is an exciting experience. Living in a country where rain is something usual I have always considered it as gloomy and even annoying until I saw these paintings which showed me the rain as a magical natural phenomenon. The only issue is that all other walls in our house felt jealous and I am afraid I will be coming for more paintings :) Thank you, Mr Afremov! My deepest respect to your talent! Olga Peycheva
