BLUE FLARE PANEL - Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

A concentrated burst gives Blue Flare Panel its governing tension: illumination arrives not as calm clarity, but as an event that breaks through pressure. The white center-left flare feels briefly suspended between revelation and rupture, directing attention outward while refusing to settle into a recognizable place. Its force is immediate, almost electrical, yet the surrounding darkness keeps that brightness from becoming simple reassurance.

The radiating lines carry the eye beyond the central release, especially toward the upper right, where the energy seems to thin without disappearing. This outward movement suggests a moment of expansion - a thought, impulse, or decision still gathering its full consequence. The work holds that instant open, balancing momentum against the possibility that the burst may be as destabilizing as it is illuminating.

Around the glow, violet and pink passages introduce a more uncertain emotional register, softening the drama without resolving it. Below, the deeper blue and near-black forms give the composition a sense of resistance, as though the light has emerged from something dense and unyielding. The result is an abstract encounter with intensity itself: not a fixed symbol, but a charged interval between obscurity and recognition.
