I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork BENCH OF LOST LOVE. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist  Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

It is common to believe that handsome people are more successful in love than people with ordinary appearance. However, even the most mediocre person has to face a couple of strong and passionate stories and some less important love affairs in his or her life. Everyone has a story to tell about happy moments and a broken heart.

Everyone remembers his or her most painful break up, most tragic goodbye in great detail, even the place where it happened. Usually, this location has nothing extraordinary about it like a bench but for us it becomes a symbol of lost love.

The older we get, the harder it is to fall in love. Even when it happens, it does not always mean that this feeling will be reciprocate and the fairy tale will have a happy ending. All of us have to face break ups and unhappy love stories. Here are some tips on how to overcome such situations:

  • Do not traumatize yourself. Stop seeing the person that you like if you know that you do not make him or her feel the same. Do not call them and do not try to meet them by chance. Time heals everything.
  • Find yourself something to do. It can be a hobby or a volunteering work as well as just spending time with your family or friends. Being busy all the time will help you to forget about your feelings.
  • Do not be afraid of solitude. If you are not ready to date other people, it is perfectly fine. No one can force you to do something you do not want to do. Take your time, and everything will happen at the right moment.
  • Look at the bright side. We all have heard the quote that nothing happens without a reason. And this is so true! Maybe there is something much more magical and special expecting you in the future…

You can also try to find reconciliation in art. For example, look at this wonderful painting by a contemporary artist Leonid Afremov. An empty bench, which has been a place for romantic dates for a long time, is now empty. Afremov depicts it with much tenderness and delicacy as if from the feeling of respect towards unhappy lovers. Even though the subject might seems quite sad, the palette is rather bright and cheerful, which gives us hope to better future.

Morning Sun of January
Morning Sun of January. I bought this as a gift for my Fiancé. He is thrilled. Our 7year old son summed the painting up "the warmth, the colours... Its amazing"

I absolutely LOVE these paintings! They are so bright and beautiful. I had 4 paintings in my house but unfortunately when we moved 3 were stolen. I only just found out yesterday that the were never delivered with our boxes that the moving company had and there is no way to find them or get them back. It breaks my heart because my very first painting was one of them as well as the one I bought as a gift to myself for getting my masters degree. Hopefully one day I can repurchase them and hang them in my new house. They are outstandingly beautiful and I am so sad that someone stole 3 of mine.

Leonid, I have been admiring your art since high school. I recently purchased one of your paintings for my newlywed sister because I couldn't think of a more special gift for her. The painting is more gorgeous and stunning than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much brightening the world with your wonderful artistry.
