BEE WING REFRACTION - FRAMED

Light seems to pass through the forms rather than merely fall across them, making Bee Wing Refraction a study in unstable perception and luminous change. Its central sweep from amber to teal feels like a threshold where one visual register gives way to another, while the surrounding bands hold that transition in tension. The work does not settle into a single image; it keeps the eye moving through shifts of depth, color, and focus.

The rounded droplets intensify this sense of altered seeing. A bright amber sphere near the center becomes a small lens within the larger field, concentrating attention before releasing it toward the darker blues and purples beyond. These glints suggest not decoration but interruption - moments when the surface of experience catches light and briefly reveals another order beneath it.

That movement gives the composition a distinctly inward charge. The diagonal direction feels less like a path than a current, carrying perception from clarity into saturation and back again. Softer forms at the edges temper the brilliance, allowing the image to retain a sense of mystery even at its most vivid. What remains is an encounter with color as something fluid, refracted, and never entirely still.
