At the meeting of still water and restless color, Anchored Collision turns a harbor scene into a meditation on opposing kinds of motion. The dominant boat seems held in place and yet charged with departure, its diagonal presence creating a tension between weight and drift. What appears stable becomes unsettled through the collision of bright warmth and deep blue shadow, suggesting that arrival and escape may occupy the same moment.
The broken reflection below the nearer hull extends this tension downward, where the boat loses its clear outline and becomes a shifting echo.
