I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork AMSTERDAM'S PANORAMA. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

Way up North

Amsterdam… A city of contrasts where the stern spirit of the Medieval Europe meets the free breath of a modern metropolis. Salted by Northern sea winds, flooded with hundreds of neon lights and crowded by all sorts of people, it attracts travelers like a magnet. Here you can meet literally anyone, from careless adventure seekers to artists seeking inspiration. Among them is Leonid Afremov who created quite a number of paintings dedicated to this marvelous city. We can easily imagine him walking down one of these rainy night streets or painting pictures of Amsterdam canals on the pier. The scene comes alive before our eyes. So let’s stop for a moment and contemplate…

Night of light

It is one of those nights when everything looks as usual yet you feel something special about it. This evasive feeling changes the world around you. The lights suddenly start shining brighter, things gain colors that you didn’t notice before and every little detail seems to be in its place. You walk down the pier enjoying the rustle of waves and the smell of salt in the air. There is not a soul around, but you are not alone. Watching you silently with their countless eyes, the houses over the canal keep you company and illuminate every step of your way. They are so colorful and lovely that they seem to be made of cardboard. The stripe of land between them and the water is so narrow that their dwellers can dive into the canal right from the windows. Behind lurks the rest of the city – a dark roofed mass punctuated by silver dots of urban insomnia. You can feel how big, solid and grounded it is, it gives you the sense of gravity in this liquid, dusky world. Shimmering softly in the moonlight, the water undulates together with reflections sending the whole city afloat. Even the sky seems to be filled with wandering colors that flow over the houses painting them red, yellow, green and violet. Of course, it is only a moment. In the morning, you’ll wake up, busy with other thoughts and plans, and the impression will fade leaving just a vague trace. But art can make it last as long as you wish. Especially art like this!

There are many reasons to buy this beautiful cityscape:

·         It is bright and cheerful. You won’t believe how cozy your room can be!

·         Now you have something to cover up the wall that stood blank for years.

·         If you are a connoisseur of art, you will definitely appreciate its exquisite palette and brushwork.

·         You can travel to Amsterdam without leaving your home!

·         Finally, it will give you a great mood each time you will look at it.
