Cool summer rain
A night rain is a fantastic natural phenomenon. When you lie in your warm bed trying to fall asleep and listen to themonotonous sound of the rain, it quickly whisks you away to a beautiful dream land. The smell of wet asphalt surrounds you and helps youpeacefully drift off.
A fragile silhouette
In this beautiful art work we see a quiet street with tall lanterns on both sides. It is a peaceful summer night. Some people are still awake as we see the lights in the windows of an old house on the left side of the road. We can only see one part of the building as the rest is hidden behind a big green tree. It seems to be guarding the residents of the house. In hot summer days it shelters them with nice shade to hide them from the scorching sun. However, if we look at it now we might get the impression that it has begun preparing for autumn as some of its leaves are turning yellow and orange. And yet, perhaps it only seems this way. The lantern standing on the side of the road casts out its raysupon it. This is the reason it looks as if autumn is soon coming. Next to the lantern, a little bit to the right, we can see a silhouette. Most likely it’s a woman as she looks very elegant and fragile.

- What’s happened to her if she is walking alone in the middle of the night after the rain and without an umbrella?
Wet asphalt looks unbelievably beautiful after the rain at night. It’s very picturesque as it shimmers in the radiance of all the lights around.
