about this painting:
Winter Alley
Frozen autumn
Autumn is a great time to create landscapes like this. However, in the painting we see quite a lot of winter colors and it is obvious that the fall is coming to an end. We can say that the park has already fully prepared for the arrival of winter and this work can be rightfully called a winter painting. This conclusion we draw on the presence of blue colors. And indeed they are present in fairly large numbers. In general, the combination of colors can be called unique. See for yourself! On the one hand, we see a lot of blue whereas in the perspective we see such bright colors as red, orange, and yellow. These are purely autumnal shades, which are present in every autumn painting by Leonid Afremov. It seems that they are ready to revive any canvas, fill it with life and energy. And in this picture, in combination with other colors, they become even brighter, more expressive. And, of course, the decoration of any painting by Leonid Afremov is the image of the sidewalk, in which everything is reflected – trees, lanterns and the character of the painting himself walking with an umbrella in this wonderful park.
Getting ready for the winter
The arrival of winter for the majority means a transition to a different rhythm of life: while the snow falls outside the window, and the thermometer’s arrow drops lower, you don’t want to go anywhere. Cozy blankets and sweaters, favorite books and films, as well as heavy and greasy, but such delicious food – all these are invariable attributes of winter life. They allow not only to warm, but also to protect from winter depression, which affects a fairly large number of people. However, the paradox is that winter depression is largely associated with a lack of serotonin, the hormone of happiness and peace, which is produced in the sun and the open air. Therefore, voluntarily locking yourself in the room is definitely not the best idea, at least if you do not want to exacerbate your depressive state. In addition, such a rhythm of life can lead to a number of health problems:
- reduced immunity
- constant lethargy
- irritability
- inability to actively mental and physical work
- weight gain.
These are the unpleasant consequences of the lack of walking in the fresh air.
