In his painting Sunny Fall Leonid Afremov calls us to remember that autumn is not only a rainy season, when you are forced to sit at home because of the rainy and damp weather. In his painting he depicted a sunny autumn day. There are quite a lot of them in the middle and of course in the beginning of autumn. But in the picture we see namely the middle of the autumn because the leaves on some trees have already turned yellow and some of them have already fallen. Yellow spots are seen on the green lawn. In some places it is covered with foliage so tightly that grass is practically invisible. However, in the distance we see a quite green forest. The autumn has not yet encoloured it with its yellow, orange and red shades. But it will take another couple of weeks and it will also be painted in usual colors. In these days of sunny fall it's not so warm as in the summer and the approach of colds is felt all the more sharply. However, the couple depicted in the center of the painting is walking in the park and does not notice this at all. They enjoy this wonderful weather.
