I would like to present  my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork NIGTH CAFE. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

Never-ending story

Paris is the city of romance and arts that keeps amazing us each time our feet touch its history-soaked ground – or rather our eyes touch one of Leonid Afremov canvasses depicting this marvelous city. It’s fascinating how a skillful use of color and light can turn a usual street scene into something so special and meaningful. Without trying to make his works look realistic, the artist was capable of capturing the unique atmosphere of Paris in the vivid mixture of colors that reveal more than any architectural details. Once again, we’re setting off on a trip to France guided by Afremov’s imagination!

The beauty of the moment

Just another night in a strange city, just another wet sidewalk, just another café with hospitably lit windows… We see that a lot in our life, but we rarely have time to stop and simply admire the subtle beauty of small things. This painting gives us a chance to reconnect with our inner artist and see the world with new eyes.  Applying saturated shades of blue, crimson and orange with speckles of red, violet and green here and there, the artist creates a very peculiar scene amidst the autumn Paris. There are no clear outlines, even the lonely silhouettes standing in front of the café seem to be rain-washed and surreal. Using large irregular strokes and layered texture, Afremov expresses the sense of shape through sheer color. We can’t really distinguish the massive of the building from the sidewalk, they seem to create one iridescent background with pale ghosts of windows gasping drowsily into the night. This misty charm makes the painting particularly intimate and captivating. One can definitely call it a prominent sample of abstract art.

Room design ideas

  • Matches well with plain-colored walls, classic-style or minimalistic designs.
  • Fits perfectly into any interior, be it your living room, bedroom or study.
  • Looks best when used as a centerpiece with no additional décor.
  • Can be used both framed and frameless.

This painting will make a great piece of home art décor and provide you with a powerful source of inspiration to recharge after a hard day at work or simply rest your eyes on something refreshing and delightful. After all, beauty surrounds us everywhere! We just need to be reminded of that.

I just received the painting, Blue Fog in the Forest. It is stunning! It is even more beautiful than the picture on the website. When I stand in front of the painting, I feel like I'm walking in the forest. This is the 4th Afremov painting I have, and I love them all. Thank you for bringing your wonderful art to the mainstream population, Mr. Afremov.

I was searching online for some beautiful fall pictures and Google turned up a picture that I fell in love with right away. A little research revealed it was "LONELINESS OF AUTUMN" by Leonid Afremov and that led me to his website. I was AMAZED that I could buy an actual painted edition!! Feeling incredibly lucky, I purchased the recreation right away... It arrived from Mexico to Canada well packaged and absolutely spectacular! I took a picture to share and my friends and family have been wowed by the colours and vibrancy. I can't stop looking at my wall, and I so appreciate that Leonid has found a way to make such beautiful art an affordable treasure. I'm sure this will not be my last! With great admiration and appreciation! ~ Stacey Terry Brandon, MB, Canada
