Sea Sun

Leonid Afremov's seascape is always filled with a lot of light and warmth. Thus, in this painting we find a lonely yacht plowing the expanses of the sea and… morning light. Well, judging by the fact that in the background you can see the ridge of mountains, the yacht is located near the coast. The evening sun illuminates not only the sky but also the sea – the path stretches from the very mountains. As for the sky, then on it we find such shades as

- yellow

- turquoise

- orange

- violet

- purple.

The paints are inked very masterfully and are in surprising harmony with each other. We also find them in the sea, but there the other colors are added to them – different shades of blue – the classic sea colors. Mostly, they predominate in the left side of the canvas while in the right the sea colors are quite unusual – orange, crimson and purple. Although as the mountains approach, the sea becomes pale and loses its color. The sun's rays don’t reach these places. Very soon the sun will be completely hidden behind the horizon and the picture will become completely dark. Bright colors will be replaced by night ones – dark blue and black, but if the sky is clear, night stars will be visible. Brightly shining in the night sky, they will show the way to our lonely yacht.
